The Virginia men's lacrosse team has received the number one overall seed in the NCAA tournament and will host a first round game, while the women will begin their quest for an NCAA Championship on the road.
The Virginia men will host Villanova on Sunday May 10th in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Cavaliers enter the tournament with an overall record of 13-2, with both of those losses coming to Duke. This is Virginia's 32nd appearance in the NCAA tournament, while the Wildcats will be playing in the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history.
The Virginia women will head to Duke on Sunday May 10th for the first round of the NCAA tournament. The Cavaliers and Blue Devils played once earlier this season, with Duke winning 13-12 in Charlottesville. Virginia comes in to the NCAA tournament with an overall record of 11-7. This is the 14th straight year the Cavaliers have received a bid to the NCAA tournament.
