The Wahoos clung to a 7-6 lead at the half, and opened up a three goal lead at 9-6 in the third quarter. The Terrapins made a fourth quarter charge, but were unable to come back for the win.
The Cavalier victory sets up a rematch with Duke, who won 13-9 in the other semifinal tonight. The Blue Devils handed Virginia its only conference loss of the season, 7-6, in overtime back on April 14th.
