-- Jamaal Jackson put on his white 27-jersey to work with the wide receiving corps Friday. Just last week the safety was working with the first-team defense. Head Coach Al Groh was unavailbale for comment after practice, and there is no word on if this is a permanent switch, or if it was just an experiment. We'll have all the details as they become available.

-- Groh announced today that sophomore linebacker Olu Hall will miss the season for failing to meet NCAA academic standards. Hall is, however, in good standing with UVA. He didn't play last season to focus on academics, and groh said today that the team will do whatever they can to help him get his degree.
