The Cavalier Mens Basketball Team will open Philly Classic play against host Pennsylvania on November 23rd. They will take on the Quakers on their home court, the historic Palestra in Philadelphia. Virginia will face either Navy or Seton Hall on November 24th in the second day of action.

The times of Virginia's games are not yet known, but they will be played in the evening. The Cavaliers are in the second bracket of the two tournament segments. Each team plays two teams in their segment, with the tournament having two champions.

This tournament serves as a homecoming for Cavaliers guard Sean Singletary, who played high school basketball at The William Penn Charter School. Freshman Sammy Zeglinsky also played his high school ball at that same school, while fellow newcomer Jeff Jones played at nearby Monsignor Bonner.

Virginia opens up its 2007-2008 schedule on November 11, as Vermont visits John Paul Jones Arena.
