Justin Anderson's big week has resulted in recognition for the Virginia freshman from the ACC.
Anderson was named the conference's rookie of the week on Monday, after averaging 15.5 points, five rebounds, and 2.5 assists in two Virginia wins last week. It's the first weekly award of Anderson's career.
Anderson was inserted into the Cavaliers' starting lineup for last Thursday's game at home against Clemson, and responded 14 points and three steals in a 37-point Virginia win. Anderson followed with a career-high 17 points and nine rebounds in Sunday's 11-point win at Maryland.
Anderson has scored in double figures in five of Virginia's last six games.
