The Virginia women's basketball team picked up where it left off during the regular season, in Thursday's ACC Tournament opener against Boston College.
The six-seed Cavaliers beat the Eagles 72-41 to advance to Friday's quarterfinals against No. 6 Maryland, the three-seed in the tournament. The Cavaliers opened Thursday's game on a 23-9 run over the game's first 12 minutes, then used another 15-2 run to start the second half.
