Bocklet's Big Day Leads UVa Past Mount St. Mary's

Chris Bocklet's first goal came less than two minutes into the Virginia men's lacrosse team's visit to Mount St. Mary's.

By the end of the day, Bocklet would add five more, as the Cavaliers rolled to a perfect 4-0 record with a 17-5 win over the Mountaineers.

The six goals match a career high for Bocklet, who now has a team-high 10 goals on the season.

The Cavaliers used a 9-0 run that spanned most of the first two periods to put their lead out of reach. The Mountaineers only scored one goal in each of the first three periods.

No. 1 Virginia is now 10-0 all-time against Mount St. Mary's.

Ryan Tucker added three goals for the Cavaliers, while Steele Stanwick scored twice and also had two assists. Owen Van Arsdyle had a team-high three assists.

The Cavaliers return home to face No. 3 Syracuse on Sunday afternoon at Klockner Stadium. The Orange are 2-0 after a 10-9 win at home over Army last weekend.
