Virginia Junior Alex Skinkis launched two home runs in a 7-1 victory over Liberty in the second game of the doubleheader between the Cavaliers and Flames. Virginia also took game one, 6-5.
Skinkis launched a solo shot off Chandler Ball in the third that hit the top of the left-field fence and bounced over to give the Cavs a 1-0 lead.
She then added a three-run shot in the fourth to push the lead to 4-0.
Melanie Mitchell went he distance on the mound for Virginia. She allowed an unearned run and tied a season high with 15 strikeouts.
The Cavaliers host N.C. State this weekend in their final ACC regular season series.
