Cavaliers Cancel Home Baseball Finale vs. VCU

Monday's steady rain, combined with the threat of more rain in the forecast for Tuesday, has forced Virginia to cancel Tuesday's baseball game against Virginia Commonwealth.

Tuesday's game was supposed to be the regular season home finale for the Cavaliers, who had a 10-game winning streak snapped by Georgia Tech on Sunday at Davenport Field. Virginia will conclude its regular seasons schedule with three ACC games at Maryland, starting on Thursday.

Virginia enter the three-game series at 16-11 in the ACC, which puts the Cavaliers second in the Coastal Division and fourth overall in the conference. The Terrapins are tied for last in the Atlantic Division with a 9-18 conference record.
