Three of Tony Bennett's new additions scored in double figures, leading the Virginia men's basketball team to an 89-62 win over Netherlands-B on Wednesday.
The game was the first of five for the Cavaliers during their ten-day tour of Europe. The same two teams will meet again Thursday in Almere, a suburb of Amsterdam.
Freshman center Mike Tobey led Virginia with 18 points. Two first-year forwards, Justin Anderson (15 points off the bench) and Evan Nolte (13 points), also scored in double figures. Joe Harris was the fourth Cavalier in double figures, scoring 12.
Senior guard Jontel Evans had 11 assists for the Cavaliers.
