One national publication is praising Virginia senior guard Joe Harris for his ability to put the ball in the basket.
Athlon Sports released its list of the best shooters in college basketball on Wednesday, with Harris at the top.
"Before tailing off at the end of the season, Harris was shooting 50.3 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from 3-point range," the article said. "With extra help this season, the Cavaliers won’t need him to take a dozen shots a game."
Harris finished his junior season shooting 46.8 percent from the floor and 42.5 percent from behind the 3-point line. He was an All-ACC first team selection after finishing fourth in the conference in scoring (16.3 ppg).
Reigning ACC Freshman of the Year Olivier Hanlan was the only other player from the conference to make that Athlon Sports list. Coron Williams of Wake Forest was named a "Transfer to Watch".
