'Hoos Add Shayok to Incoming Recruiting Class

The Virginia men's basketball team has made a late addition to its incoming recruiting class.

"Happy to announce I've committed to the University of Virginia!" three-star small forward Marial Shayok announced on Twitter Tuesday night.

Shayok originally visited UVa last summer before committing to Marquette in October. The 6-6, 205-pound Canadian signed with the Golden Eagles in November, but was released from his Letter of Intent after coach Buzz Williams left to take the job at Virginia Tech last month.

Shayok joins signees B.J. Stith, Isaiah Wilkins, and Jack Salt in the Cavaliers' incoming recruiting class. UVa is coming off a 30-7 season, in which the Wahoos won both the ACC regular season and tournament championships, and reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
