President Obama's visit to Charlottesville is prompting the Virginia basketball team to push back Monday's home game against Maryland.
UVa announced on Friday that the game will now tip off at 9 p.m., two hours later than the original 7 p.m. scheduled start time. The game will also now be televised on ESPNU.
President Obama is scheduled to visit Monticello with French President Francois Hollande at some point Monday afternoon. UVa delayed the start of Monday's game in anticipation of the traffic issues Obama's visit is expected to create in Charlottesville.
UVa is also warning fans to plan for traffic delays in town between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The gates at John Paul Jones Arena will open at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
