The No. 2 team in the country -- and its high-powered offense -- is in Charlottesville again this week. But this time, that team is wearing Virginia colors.
The UVa women's soccer team is ranked second in the country in the latest round of national polls, released on Tuesday. The Cavaliers improved to 6-0 with Sunday's win at Klöckner Stadium over Seton Hall.
That 6-0 start is the program's best since the 2004 season, when the Cavaliers won their first nine games.
The Cavaliers have outscored their opponents 25-3 so far this season. Through Tuesday, those 25 goals are the most in the country, while junior midfielder Morgan Brian is fifth in the country with 15 total points.
UVa opens ACC play on Thursday with Syracuse's first-ever conference visit to Klöckner.
