Virginia's first two opponents in the 2013 ACC baseball tournament are the only two teams to take weekend conference series against the Cavaliers this season.
The league released the bracket for the five-day tournament on Sunday morning. The Cavaliers are the No. 3 seed after finishing the regular season at 22-8 in conference games.
Virginia opens pool play at 3 p.m. Wednesday against No. 6 seed Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers dropped a double header in Blacksburg on April 27 for their second and final conference series loss of the season.
That first series loss came two weekends earlier, when the Cavaliers dropped two of three at Georgia Tech. Those two teams meet again at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Yellow Jackets the No. 7 seed in the bracket.
After an off day on Friday, the Cavaliers will conclude pool play at 11 a.m. Saturday against No. 2 seed Florida State. Virginia finished the regular season with a better conference record than the Seminoles (20-10) -- including a three-game UVa sweep in Charlottesville a month ago -- but FSU received the higher seed by winning the Atlantic Division.
