The Seattle Mariners announced Friday night that Danny Hultzen will be sidelined the next two weeks with a rotator cuff strain and tendonitis.
The former Virginia Cavalier had trouble getting loose prior to his scheduled start Thursday night and was scratched. An MRI revealed the strain.
Hultzen was 3-1 with a 2.78 ERA for Tacoma, the Mariners' AAA affiliate.
The lefty was the No. 2 overall pick by Seattle in the 2011 MLB Draft.
