March 23, 2012

James Madison cruised past South Florida 72-45 Friday night to clinch a berth alongside Virginia in the WNIT Quarterfinals. The Dukes will host the Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The Dukes were led by junior guard Tarik Hislop who scored a game-high 17 points. JMU held South Florida to 12 first half points and led 24-12 at the break.

JMU improved to 27-7 this season while Virginia enters Sunday's game 25-10. The two teams last met on December 20, 2011 at John Paul Jones Arena where the Cavaliers earned a 59-53 victory.

Sunday’s winner would face the winner of Syracuse vs. Toledo at a date, time and venue to be determined.
