Less than an hour after becoming an undrafted free agent, Virginia corner back Chase Minnifield signed a free agent deal with the Washington Redskins. Safety Rodney McLeod and defensive end Matt Conrath signed contracts with the St. Louis Rams. Offensive guard Austin Pasztor will join the Minnesota Vikings.
Minnifield had three interceptions and 50 tackles in 2011 before missing the Chick-fil-A Bowl with a knee injury. He broke up eight passes and was selected as an All-ACC defensive player.
McLeod had 57 tackles and four interceptions in 2011. Conrath started all 13 games in 2011 and had 66 tackles, 12 for loss. The first team All-ACC defensive player had three sacks and two forced fumbles.
Pasztor was first team All-ACC, helping Virginia finish fourth-best in total offense in the ACC with 399.8 yards per game.
