Morgan Moses was recognized as one of the top players in the ACC by league media members when they selected the Virginia senior to the Preseason All-ACC team announced Wednesday.

The offensive tackle is the lone Cavalier selected to the team. Junior tight end Jake McGee finished third in voting for that position.

Moses, who has also been named to the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy Preseason Watch Lists, enters 2013 as a preseason All-American (fourth team) courtesy of the Phil Steele Preseason list. He has started 31 games for the Cavaliers on the offensive line.

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd, also the ACC Preseason Player of the Year, was the overwhelming choice at quarterback. He is one of three players from Clemson on the team.

Florida State led all schools with six players on the team, followed by North Carolina with four.
