Virginia outfielder Mike Papi has popped up on yet another postseason college baseball All-America team.
The American Baseball Coaches Association named Papi one of five outfielders on its All-America first team on Tuesday. Papi is the 11th Virginia player all-time to earn ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors, and the sixth to be included on the first team.
Papi began the season as a reserve for the Cavaliers, , and didn't enter the everyday lineup until a month into the season. But he finished the year with an ACC-best .381 batting average, and his .517 on-base percentage currently ranks second in the country.
Baseball America also named Papi a first-team All-American last week, while the website PerfectGame.org included Papi on its All-America second team.
