Virginia sophomore forward Brittany Ratcliffe has been named the ACC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week.
Ratcliffe scored three goals last week as the top-ranked Cavaliers posted a pair of road victories.
In Thursday’s 5-0 victory at NC State, Ratcliffe came off the bench for her second multi-goal game of the season, striking twice in an 83-second span of the first half.
She made her second start of the season on Sunday and scored the game-winning goal in Virginia’s 2-0 win at No. 4 North Carolina.
Ratcliffe has 11 goals on the season, ranking second on the team and fourth in the ACC.
The award is the first of Ratcliffe’s career and the third for a Cavalier this season. Junior midfielder Morgan Brian earned ACC Player of the Week honors on Aug. 27 and Oct. 15.
