Mike Scott averaged 10 points and nearly seven rebounds per game for the Atlanta Hawks in the team's five-game NBA Summer League schedule.
That was apparently enough to convince Hawks' brass to sign Scott to a two-year contract, the club announced Thursday.
Scott was the 43rd pick by Atlanta in the NBA Draft. The former Cav was a first-team All-ACC selection his senior year after averaging 18 points and eight rebounds per game.
He ranks third in school history in rebounds (944) and double-doubles (34), and finished 16th in points scored (1,538).
