The Virginia football team held their last open practice in Charlottesville on Friday morning and the team will make their final road trip this weekend to Richmond. The Cavaliers will practice at Sports Backers Stadium from 3-5 p.m.
For some players, like rising junior quarterback Michael Rocco, the spring road trips are both fun and challenging.
"Just being able to go somewhere else with you team and see the fans in Northern VIrginia, Virginia Beach, and Richmond it's been a good experience," said Rocco. "At times it can get a little much but that's what Coach is really looking for, to put an extra thing on our shoulders and see if we can handle it. I think we've done a great job of being focused on our road trips and get what we need done accomplished."
Doors open in Richmond at 2 p.m Saturday. The annual Orange-Blue Spring Scrimmage is set for Saturday, April 14 at Scott Stadium. The gates open at noon.
