Stanwick Again a Tewaaraton Finalist

Virginia senior Steele Stanwick is a step closer to becoming the first-ever repeat winner of the Tewaaraton Trophy.

On Thursday, Stanwick was named one of five finalists for the 2012 Tewaaraton Trophy, given to the top lacrosse player in the country each season. The winner will be announced on May 31 in Washington, D.C.

Stanwick, the ACC's offensive player of the year this spring, leads the nation with 45 assists, and his 5.07 points-per-game average is second in the country.

The other Tewaaraton finalists include CJ Constabile of Duke, Will Manny of UMass, Colgate's Peter Paum, and Mike Sawyer of Loyola.
