UVa Baseball Game Moved to William and Mary

The top-ranked Virginia baseball team will have to wait a few more days to play its first game in front of its home fans.

UVa announced Tuesday that Wednesday's game against William and Mary has been moved to Williamsburg. First pitch is now set for 6 p.m. Wednesday.

That game was originally supposed to be the Cavaliers' home opener, and scheduled to be played on Tuesday. But field conditions at Davenport Field following last week's heavy snowfall forced the game to be postponed until Wednesday, and eventually relocated to William and Mary's Plumeri Park.

UVa's home opener is now scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday against East Carolina.
