UVa Football Picked Sixth in Coastal Division

The Virginia football team has been picked to finish near the bottom of the new-look ACC in 2013.

The league released its annual preseason media poll on Monday afternoon, with the Cavaliers -- coming off a 4-8 season in 2012, and once again without a starting quarterback entering preseason camp -- picked to finish sixth in the seven-team Coastal Division.

Miami was voted the preseason pick to win the division, marking the first time in six years that Virginia Tech was not the early favorite in the Coastal. The Hokies were picked No. 2 in the division, followed by North Carolina, Georgia Tech, and ACC newcomer Pittsburgh. Only Duke was picked to finish worse than the Cavaliers.

Clemson was voted the overwhelming preseason ACC favorite, receiving 95 of 120 first place votes. Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd was also voted the league's preseason player of the year.
