No. 5 Field Hockey Survives in Double Overtime
Kelsey LeBlanc broke a scoreless tie in double overtime to push No. 5 Virginia past No. 6 Boston College, 1-0, Friday at Turf Field. Virginia improved to 14-2 and 2-2 in the ACC with the win.

No. 23 Men's Soccer Draws with No. 5 Maryland
The Cavaliers ran their unbeaten streak to eight games with a 3-3 draw against No. 5 Maryland at Klöckner Stadium. Todd Wharton, Marcus Salandy-Defour and Patrick Foss scored for Virginia, which improved to 6-3-3 with the result.

Volleyball Drops ACC Home Opener
The Cavaliers fell 3-1 to Syracuse Friday at Memorial Gymnasium. Tori Janowski led all hitters with 16 kills. Virginia fell to 9-8 on the year.
