The Virginia volleyball team broke a two-match slide, defeating Notre Dame, 3-0, at Purcell Pavilion in Notre Dame, Ind. The Cavaliers improved to 16-13 on the season and 9-8 in ACC play.
“We were business-like tonight,” UVa head coach Dennis Hohenshelt said. “We were focused and were very efficient tonight. All five attackers had good nights and if we do that, we’re going to be successful in these last three matches.”
With 12 kills Friday, junior Tori Janowski now has 429 on the season, tied for the ninth-most tally in UVa single-season history. Janowski also recorded 10 digs and three service aces.
Sophomore Natalie Bausback had a match-high 17 kills and five blocks, while classmate Lauren Fuller dished out 47 assists.
The Cavaliers return to action Sunday, Nov. 24 when they host Virginia Tech at 3 p.m. at Memorial Gymnasium.
