The Virginia men's basketball team will open ACC play next season at home against North Carolina, and end the regular season against Maryland, also at John Paul Jones Arena.
The school released a tentative conference schedule for the 2012-13 season on Thursday. The upcoming season is the first to feature an 18-game ACC schedule.
The Tar Heels and Terrapins are two of seven conference opponents the Cavaliers will face twice next year. The schedule also includes one game apiece against four teams. Duke and NC State both come to Charlottesville, while Virginia will travel to both Miami and Wake Forest.
Exact dates and times will be announced by the conference later this summer.
