Senior Josie Owen had another six-point performance on Wednesday, as the Virginia women's lacrosse team bounced back from last weekend's upset loss at Virginia Tech by beating Johns Hopkins on the road.
Owen, the Cavaliers' leading scorer, had four goals and two assists in Virginia's 11-7 win. Owen leads the team with 36 goals and 32 assists for the season. Sloan Warren added two goals and two assists, while Katie Slater chipped in with a pair of goals and Julie Gardner had a goal and an assist.
Virginia improved to 10-5 with the win. The Cavaliers had a five-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, when Virginia Tech beat UVa 10-9 in overtime in Blacksburg. It was the Hokies' first-ever win over Virginia in women's lacrosse.
