Senior point guard Jontel Evans will once again be on the bench Wednesday, when his teammates return from final exams break to host Morgan State.
The team announced on Tuesday that Evans would miss his seventh game of the year, as he continues to recover from a stress fracture in his right foot suffered during the preseason. Evans has appeared in four games this season, averaging 1.5 points and 2.7 assists per game.
Redshirt freshman Teven Jones has started five of the last six games in place of Evans. He's averaging 4.1 points and 2.4 assists in seven games this year.
The Cavaliers will take a seven-game winning streak in Wednesday's game. Virginia's last game was a 67-39 win at home over Mississippi Valley State on December 8.
