Virginia senior forward Mike Scott received honorable mention on the Associated Press All-America team, released on Monday.
Scott averaged 18.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this season, as the Cavaliers finished 22-10 and reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in five years.
Scott was voted first-team All-ACC following the regular season. He was one of seven players from the conference to receive All-America recognition from the AP, though no one from the ACC made the first team.
North Carolina had four players recognized: Tyler Zeller (second team); Kendall Marshall (third team); Harrison Barnes and John Henson (honorable mention). Duke's Mason Plumlee and Austin Rivers also received honorable mention.
Kansas junior forward Thomas Robinson was the only unanimous first-team selection. He was joined on the first team by freshman Anthony Davis of Kentucky; Michigan State senior Draymond Green; and sophomores Jared Sullinger of Ohio State and Doug McDermott of Creighton.
