The 11th-ranked UVa wrestling team rolled to a 42-0 win over Appalachian State Saturday at Memorial Gymnasium. The Cavaliers posted two pins, a technical fall and four major decisions in the victory.
Matt Snyder, ranked 10th in the country, pinned Dominic Parisi at 125 and moved into the top 10 in career wins at UVa, with 91. At 149 pounds, 20th-ranked Derek Valenti earned his 90th career win with a victory over Zach Kechter.
Snyder and Stephen Doty both pinned their opponents, while 15th-ranked Jedd Moore earned the technical fall in just one period at 157 pounds.
Virginia has its final home dual of the season Sunday, when the Cavaliers host Old Dominion at 1 p.m. at Memorial Gym on Senior Day.
