Jessica Abrams joined the Newsplex in June of 2011 as a producer/reporter. Jessica grew up in Albemarle County, but spent the past four years attending The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Before coming back to Virginia, Jessica spent time as a reporter at 6News in Lawrence, KS and interned with the BBC's World News America in Washington, D.C. In the capital city, Jessica got to cover everything from politics on Capitol Hill to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In her free time, Jessica loves to run and play soccer as well as spend time with friends and family.

Jessica is happy to be home and can't wait to spend more time with the great communities of Central Virginia!
