Liz joined the Newsplex team in August 2008. A proud graduate of Elon University in North Carolina, Liz earned a degree in Broadcast Communications and minored in Political Science.

While in college, she studied abroad in both Brazil and Perugia, Italy. She spent part of her senior year studying the role of radio during Hurricane Katrina and contributed to a book on emergency broadcasting. She is a member of the Radio-Television News Directors Association.

Liz learned from the best during her internships at WUSA 9 in Washington, D.C. and FOX 8 WGHP in High Point, N.C.

Liz feels very fortunate to be part of the Charlottesville community, and she is looking forward to exploring the surrounding area. In addition to bringing the news to you, Liz's passions include being outdoors, theater, traveling and being with family and friends. She's also trying to learn the game of golf!
