Sara Ross joined the Charlottesville Newsplex team in February 2009. Sara is no stranger to moving. She trekked south to Virginia after working as a reporter and producer for WJAC-TV in Johnstown, Pa. Before that, she worked as a producer at WXIA-TV in Atlanta, Ga. And before that she worked as a producer for WTAJ-TV in Altoona, Pa.

A 2004 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, she got her start in television news while working as both a reporter and producer at KOMU-TV in Columbia. Sara is a native of Parker, Colo., a suburb of Denver. She and her military family moved there when she was nine after living in Japan and Germany.

In addition to a love of news, Sara likes to hang out with friends and family, read, watch movies, run and travel.
