Born and raised in Philadelphia and its suburbs, Chris Stover made the move to Charlottesville to join the Newsplex team in January 2010.
Chris graduated summa cum laude from Temple University in Philadelphia with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in American Studies. He served as editor-in-chief of Temple's award-winning newspaper, The Temple News. Chris covered various high-profile stories for the paper, from a citywide public transit strike to the heated Pennsylvania Primary race between then-Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
While at Temple, he also interned at KYW CBS3 and WTXF FOX29 in Philadelphia.
Chris has volunteered his time for the past five years as a local host for Alex's Lemonade Stand, a pediatric cancer charity. His efforts have helped to raise more than $12,000 for childhood cancer research.
When not at the Newsplex, Chris enjoys playing the piano, cooking, running and cheering on his Philadelphia Phillies.
