In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Throw in a lovable but loud donkey, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got a rollicking fun time for the entire family! You may have read about the place in West Virginia who responded to trollish requests that their servers 'show more skin' by serving potato skins and donating the proceeds to WV rape crisis centers. We thought this was such a great idea, and decided to have a similar promotion here!
So, please, come eat some Ribs in July to support every person's right to feel safe and be safe from sexual attack!

Man’s Best Friend, Cat or Dog?
Warm Springs Gallery 105 Third St NE, Charlottesville
Join us at the Warm Springs Gallery in downtown Charlottesville for a pet themed art show to benefit the animals at the SPCA. The show will run from June through July and 20% of all sales will go to help the animals at the SPCA.
The opening reception will be held on Friday, June 6th from 6 to 8PM.
“Man’s Best Friend, Cat or Dog?” features an array of humorous and endearing interpretations of these beloved animals. Examples range from breed-specific works, such as Canadian artist, Paul Boddum’s modern dog portraits to Andy Bality’s paintings of dogs and cats with their human companions. Other pieces include Mary Engel’s ceramic and found-object sculptures, mixed media assemblages by Dolan Geiman, and Jim Kransberger’s amusing ceramic sculpture. Other participating artists include Melanie Eberhardt, Andy Farkas and Neal Iwan.
Children up to age 12 are invited to participate in the Pet Portrait Contest. Entries are due by July 1st.
