You may have read about the place in West Virginia who responded to trollish requests that their servers 'show more skin' by serving potato skins and donating the proceeds to WV rape crisis centers. We thought this was such a great idea, and decided to have a similar promotion here!
So, please, come eat some Ribs in July to support every person's right to feel safe and be safe from sexual attack!
Ribs will be 1/2 rack with fries or hashbrowns, and broccoli for $12
Red Hot & BLUES

RIXEYVILLE, VA. – On Saturday, July 26, Verdun Adventure Bound, with the Fredericksburg Blues Society, will host the "Red Hot & BLUES" Festival at the new Anne Marie Sheridan Amphitheater. The Anne Marie Sheridan Amphitheater is a stunningly beautiful and inviting outdoor theatre in the woods.
The day will begin at 10am with three concurrent music workshops: harmonica, guitar and drums. The public is encouraged to attend one of these hour and one half hour workshops. The cost of the workshops is included in the price of a general admission ticket.
While the music workshops are rocking from 10am to noon, Verdun Adventure Bound will offer guests a tour of the facility via a fun hay ride. For the daring, guests are invited to try and conquer the Verdun Climbing Wall under the supervision of staff.
The BLUES concert gets underway at 1:00pm with the opening act of Fredericksburg Favorite, the great
Dear Johns Blues Band. The Dear Johns Blues Band will play for an hour and will be followed by local great Gaye Adegbalola and the Wild Rutz. The final act before our headliner will be the always popular Blues Buckets, who will perform from approximately 3 to 5pm.
Verdun Adventure Bound and Fredericksburg Blues Society are proud to welcome our featured performer, BLUES great, Jarekus Singleton, to the Anne Marie Sheridan Amphitheater. Jarekus is releasing a CD in July through Alligator Records in Chicago, Illinois. Guests will be treated to hours of great BLUES music from four of the most talented BLUES bands around!
Desert Rose Winery and Red Hot & Blue will be among our vendors serving food and drink for purchase. Verdun Adventure Bound is offering vendor spaces for local artist vendors to display and sell their goods.
Tickets are available online at www.verdunadventurebound.org. and at the gate. Fredericksburg Blues Society members and military personnel tickets are $25 per person; all others are $30 per person. Guests are invited to bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs. Alcohol or firearms are not permitted.
