Triple C Camp
Hospice of the Piedmont announces the 2013 Journeys Fall Family Day Camp. This camp is being offered for children and teens (ages 5 to 18) and other adult family members who are trying to cope with the death of a loved one. There is no charge to attend; the program is provided as a public service and is funded by donations and grants. Children and teens should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Journeys camps provide a safe and supportive environment that gives grieving children, teens, and parents the opportunity to discover that they are not alone and their feelings are normal. Through a mix of artistic, athletic, and therapeutic activities, families have fun and – by spending time with other bereaved families and working through their feelings – begin to heal.
The fall camp will be held on Saturday, October 12, from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Triple C Camp in Charlottesville. The day’s activities include scrapbooking, music expression, high ropes adventures, outdoor games, grief education, lunch, snacks and a meaningful closing ceremony.
