Brain Injury and Stroke Education Awareness Fair
On Saturday, March 22nd, at the Pavilion from 1 to 3:30 pm: our second annual "Brain Injury and Stroke Awareness Education Fair". The event is free. Booths from area agencies involved in caring for brain-injured and stroke patients will be present, promoting education about those topics. Bicycle helmets can be earned through active participation and learning activites at the booths.
Some of last year's participating event groups: Charlottesville Brain Injury Support Group; Learning, Rx; Brain Injury Association of Virginia; Virginia Neurocare; UVA Sports Med and Athletic Training; Building Bridges; Sheila C. Johnson Center; UVA HealthSouth; UVA Traumatic Brain Injury Quality Support Team. Several more invitations are going out this year, including to the American Stroke Association; Crossroads to Brain Injury Recovery; Charlottesville Area Rescue Squad; Jefferson Area Board on Aging; the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Program; and the Charlottesville Stroke Support Group.
