It’s estimated that 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer, making it the most common cancer in the United States. However, the majority of cases are effectively treated when caught early. Those at highest risk for skin cancer include people with:
• Fair complexions
• Red or blonde hair
• Blue or hazel eyes
• A significant history of sun exposure
If you have a suspicious spot on your skin that you would like examined, register for a free skin cancer screening this weekend. Doctors will review suspicious spots and determine whether additional evaluation is needed.
