"Death Suite" Western Albemarle High School Theatre Ensemble Dinner Theatre Fundraiser
Nov 18, 2011 Doors Open 6:30pm
Nov 19, 2011 Doors Open 6:30pm
Western Albemarle High School, 5491 Rockfish Gap Tpk, Crozet, VA
The Western Albemarle Theatre Ensemble has undertaken the production of a murder mystery dinner theatre mainly for the fun and intrigue that result from such a show, but in rehearsing the play have found a central concept that carries more meaning than a typical “who dunnit?”: our common humanity. The play is based on the fact that all of the characters are hiding a secret and the WAHS cast has expanded this to encompass the fact that underneath our cultural differences, backgrounds, accents and personalities, we share many aspects that make us all the same: we all feel embarrassment, joy, self-doubt, satisfaction, etc. and this sense of sameness and connection is celebrated through their staging of the show.
