University historians are analyzing how Sullivan's resignation and reinstatement will impact the University down the line.
One historian says that only positive things can come from the past two weeks.
Alexander Gilliam has worked at the University since 1975 and says he's seen a sense of community among faculty, students, and alumni that he hasn't seen before.
He now sees an opportunity for the UVa community to address potential financial problems brought to light by the Board of Visitors.
"There is a real positive outlook around here right now. I think we can sustain that; at least I hope we can," said Gilliam.
The University archives is making a collection of many artifacts from the past two weeks including posters from the Lawn and news articles.
Gilliam says it will help future historians write about the events of the past two weeks.
