A pair of Virginia seniors are among the NFL Draft prospects officially invited to this month's Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
Defensive end Cam Johnson and cornerback Chase Minnifield are among the more than 300 players on the official list released Tuesday morning. The website NFLDraftScout.com ranks both players among the top 100 prospects for April's NFL Draft.
Minnifield has been a first-team All-ACC selection in each of the past two seasons, and leaves UVa sixth on the school's all-time list with 13 interceptions. He's ranked as the seventh-best cornerback prospect -- and No. 52 overall prospect -- in this year's draft class by NFLDraftScout.
Minnifield said last week that he's unsure whether he'll be healthy enough to run for scouts at the combine. Minnifield is coming off minor surgery in early January for a knee injury that kept him out of December's Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Johnson is ranked as the ninth-best defensive end and No. 77 overall prospect by NFLDraftScout. The three-year starter led the Cavaliers with four sacks, and finished second on the team with 11 tackles for loss, as a senior. He participated in last month's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
This year's combine runs from February 22-28 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the site of last weekend's Super Bowl.
