Virginia, the No. 2 men's tennis team in the country, faces a big test this weekend when three top-20 teams come to Charlottesville.
The Cavaliers take on No. 15 Texas on Friday, face No. 5 Florida Saturday and finish with No. 11 Texas A&M Sunday at the Boar's Head Sports Club.
Virginia is 1-0 and fresh off a dominant 8-1 win over South Florida, but the Wahoos know this weekend provides a good test that hopefully benefits them later in the season.
"It's just nice to test the guys early in the season," Coach Brian Boland said. "I think the guys are looking forward to the test. One of the things we wanted to do in designing the schedule this year was put our guys in the most difficult and uncomfortable situation as possible."
"You know I think if we just come out and play good tennis and just show up every match and every point I think that will definitely be a huge confidence boost for us as we move into later in the season," Senior Drew Courtney added.
Match time for Friday's opener against Texas is set for 6 p.m. and admission is free.
