For this week's UVa Today segment, Reverend Dr. Alvin Edwards of Mt. Zion Baptist Church visited the Newsplex to talk about the commemorative worship celebration for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Beginning Friday, the church will have its 27th annual community worship celebration for the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Charlottesville.

During the event there will be music and a presentation of the Service Community Award. The church will also present donations to P H A R - Charlottesville Public Housing Association of Residents.

The event is open to the public.
