Early Tuesday morning the roads were clear, but freezing rain is expected to coat the roads.

The ice and cold could also affect your vehicle. It's a good idea to check the battery and charging system because batteries lose power in the cold. Also check the cooling system. A 50-50 mix of coolant to water has a lower freezing point than straight coolant. Also the best windshield wipers have rubber coverings to keep the ice off the blade.
