A large part of the Carrsbrook neighborhood off Route 29 has been without power for 12 hours, and it may be a few more until it's back on.
About 300 people are still without power. One of the problems is fallen trees that have taken down utility poles.
Dominion Power crews have been working on the site.
A Carrsbrook resident said his family is using candles, flashlights and a wireless television to stay entertained.
Dominion contractors said Carrsbrook residents should see power by 1:30 to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
