A flash flood watch has been issued for portions of southwestern Virginia through Monday morning.
The National Weather Service says heavy rains are likely starting Sunday evening and a flood watch has been issued for five counties.
The weather service says 1 to 2 inches of rain are likely with locally heavier amounts possible.
The counties under the watch are Bland, Grayson, Smyth, Tazewell
and Wythe.
